Sue Birch has extensive experience in higher education advancement and the not-for-profit sector, as both a practitioner and a consultant. She brings deep knowledge of governance, business, technology and data management best practices.

Sue is a CASE Educational Partner, a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) – Practitioner and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

Before establishing Sue Birch Consulting in 2020, Sue held operational and senior management roles in advancement teams in leading Australian universities — Monash University, RMIT University, University of Sydney and University of Queensland — where she led multi-disciplinary teams through periods of growth and change, including campaign preparation.

As a consultant, Sue works with not-for-profit organisations to build the governance, data and technology foundations that strengthen organisational capability, maximise impact and support mission delivery. Sue brings particular expertise in higher education advancement, while also supporting a broader range of not-for-profit organisations seeking to enhance organisational capability and performance.
